Pets are part of the family, and Wolfe’s Den Cabin proudly welcomes responsible pet owners.

Unlike many vacation rentals that prohibit pets, Wolfe’s Den Cabin welcomes them. Guests appreciate being able to spend their vacation together without the expense and stress of boarding pets back home.

Helpful Pet Extras
Guests should bring their pets’ food, medications, bedding, leashes and other supplies their pet normally uses.

We keep a few pet-related items available at the cabin for guest convenience, including:

Pet food/water dishes of various sizes
Adjustable pet gate / fence to block deck exit/stairs
Litter box (litter not provided)
Poo bags and scooper
Key Things for Pet Owners to Know
We welcome up to 2 pets with advance disclosure and the applicable pet fee.

Guests traveling with pets are asked to:

Disclose all pets when booking

Clean up after pets indoors and outdoors

Prevent excessive barking

Keep pets off beds and furniture unless protected

Supervise pets outdoors at all times

Wildlife Awareness & Pet Safety
Lake Vermilion’s Northwoods environment is home to a wide variety of wildlife. Depending on the season, guests may encounter deer, foxes, eagles, loons, porcupines, black bears and other native species.

For the safety of both pets and wildlife, pets should remain supervised at all times and should be kept leashed outdoors after dark.
​
Before traveling, ensure pets have current identification tags and vaccinations. Guests should also be aware of seasonal considerations such as ticks, changing weather conditions and wildlife activity.

A per stay pet fee applies (covers up to 2 pets) to help cover the additional cleaning required after pet stays. Current pet fees are shown during the booking process and are included in your reservation total.

Excessive additional cleaning or damage resulting from pets may result in additional charges.

Our Resident Greeter
Guests may occasionally encounter the owners’ very friendly mini-Goldendoodle, Ollie, while we are walking him on the property.
​
Ollie enjoys meeting people and fellow dogs and is accustomed to visitors, but, like all pets, should not be approached without the owner’s permission.
