Wolfe’s Den is a classic Up North lake cabin with the comforts and conveniences that make it easy to settle in and enjoy your Lake Vermilion getaway. The cabin retains much of its original Northwoods character, including pine board walls and flooring, a built-in wood-burning fireplace, custom-built beds, and rustic décor throughout.
We’ve stocked the cabin with many little things that are easy to forget when packing for vacation. Our goal is to make your stay as close as possible to a “just bring your clothes and groceries” getaway.
Whether your plans include fishing Lake Vermilion, paddling a kayak along Wakemup Narrows, relaxing on the deck, gathering around a campfire, or spending a rainy afternoon playing games beside the fireplace, Wolfe’s Den is set up to make your time at the lake comfortable, convenient and memorable.
Comfort & Connectivity
Although Wolfe’s Den maintains its traditional cabin character, you don’t have to give up modern comforts.

Cell service can vary around Lake Vermilion, but the cabin’s high-speed internet provides reliable connectivity during your stay.
Living Room & Fireplace
The living area is centered around the cabin’s built-in wood-burning fireplace, one of our favorite features of Wolfe’s Den.
Complimentary firewood is provided. Fireplace use is subject to current fire conditions, restrictions and posted cabin instructions.
For relaxing indoors or rainy days, you’ll also find:

Board games available for all ages

Bedrooms & Sleeping
Wolfe’s Den has 3 bedrooms:

King bedroom with Northwoods eagle-themed décor

Full bedroom with fishing-inspired décor
-
Bunk room with two custom-built bunk beds and forest/wildlife décor
Bedrooms include room-darkening shades and convenient storage using dressers, under-bed or nightstand storage, hanging pegs or clothes bars, and extra hangers. The king and full bedrooms feature overhead fans with an extra television in the full bedroom with Roku for streaming.
Sheets are provided with extra pillows and blankets available along with alarm clocks and phone chargers for added convenience.
Kitchen & Dining
The cabin has a full kitchen designed for preparing your own meals with a full-sized stove, refrigerator / freezer and microwave, a dining table and additional workspace/seating at the breakfast bar.
The kitchen is well stocked with:

Plenty of dinnerware, glassware and flatware

Small appliances (blender, rice cooker, food processor, hand mixer, crock pot)

Keurig/coffee maker, filters, pods and tea

The cabin has 1 bathroom featuring a shower plus a vanity with plenty of storage behind its mirrors and includes everyday essentials including:

Parking & Laundry
Complimentary private driveway parking is available with room for 4 vehicles or 2 vehicles with trailers.
Wolfe’s Den does not have an in-cabin washer or dryer. A laundromat is available in the nearby town of Cook.
